About The Wooden Toy Truck

[ Scroll down for Danish ]

Imagine a highway.
An endless amount of cars rushing either north or south.
Imagine a walkway above the highway.
In the middle of the walkway, just above the cars and overlooking the road that disappears in the horizon in both directions, we stop.
Right in this gap is where we start.

"The Wooden Toy Truck" is included in the album's opening track The Wish To Forget. The Wooden Toy Truck was a toy, a memory from Tam's childhood. She had a toy truck, which she used for a special child play about saving and forgetting things. She put a thing in the cargo hold, hid the car in a closet and forced herself to forget. When she finally had forgotten what was in the truck, she carefully took it out, opened the doors to the cargo compartment, put her hand inside and let herself surprise.

The Wooden Toy Truck is the title of our second album, which has been long awaited and travelling widely.
It is written and recorded in places like Cuenca, Utrecht, the North Sea, the Faroe Islands, London, Berlin and Aarhus South and is marked by travel, discovery and finding home. A sensation we ourselves call the local exotic.

The album balances between presence and absence, between tradition and innovation. We have attempted to make this album more accessible than the debut album "? !". We have worked extensively with spoken word and taken inspiration from concepts such as "ASMR", tranquility, ceremonies and enjoyment in general.
In addition, we have implemented ambient sounds, which we have recorded on the above-mentioned places. Finally, the album contains radio signals and noise, partly from the Universe, partly from Jupiter.

Om The Wooden Toy Truck

Forestil dig en gangbro over motorvejen.

"The Wooden Toy Truck" indgår i albummets åbningsnummer The Wish To Forget.
